Side sleeper? Then you might recognize these nights too…

I’m Gerda, 67. Active, enjoy being outdoors, adore my grandchildren. During the day, I manage perfectly. But the nights? They’ve become increasingly difficult in recent years.

Every evening started hopefully, but somewhere around three o’clock, I would wake up. Aching hips. A stiff lower back. Sometimes tingling legs. I would turn over, pile some pillows together, try to fall back asleep. In vain.
In the morning, I’d get out of bed tired and stiff. Not because I was “getting older,” but because my body simply wasn’t positioned well at night. You might recognize that too.

What I didn't know then: sleeping on your side without support slowly pulls your body out of alignment. Your hips sink forward, your lower back twists, and extra pressure is placed on your joints. Night after night. No wonder I woke up in pain.

And yes, I had already tried everything.
A different mattress. Physiotherapy. A regular pillow between my knees (which always slipped away at night). Even painkillers, though that never felt like a real solution. Always the same result: initial hope, no lasting difference.

What made it particularly frustrating?
I just wanted to sleep through the night. Wake up feeling refreshed. Walk without having to "warm up" first. Spontaneously say yes when the grandchildren asked if I'd go to the playground with them.

One evening, I read something that stuck with me:

The problem is often not your age, but your sleeping posture.

That led me to a simple idea: keeping my body in one straight line at night. Not complicated. No big body pillow. Just targeted support where it's needed.

That was my first introduction to an ergonomic knee pillow, like the DreamAlign™ Knee Pillow. The idea is simple:

  • Your knees stay at the correct distance
  • Your hips don't tilt
  • Your spine remains neutral

No magic. Just logic.

What surprised me was how subtle the difference felt. Not a "harsh medical device." No hassle. But after a few nights, I noticed something special:
I woke up less often.
My hips protested less.
And in the morning, I felt… more flexible.

Not suddenly 30 years younger. But more rested. And that made everything easier during the day.

Maybe this resonates with you.
Maybe you're also a side sleeper who wakes up constantly at night. Or someone who thinks: "I've tried so much already." That feeling is understandable.

Don't see this as a grand promise. See it as a logical next step: giving your body the support at night that it has been missing for so long during the day.
